Several distinct altitudes and lake surface areas extending over more than 1400 square kilometers facilitate the unique co-existence of a large variety of birds. Over 170 species of birds breed here. During their migration time in spring and fall our country is a resting place of international importance.
Ornithological excursions can easily be combined with beautiful hiking tours. Public transportation is an ideal means of access.
